Emergency Landslide Evaluations
Tillamook County, Oregon
Tillamook County experienced significant damage from torrential rains and storms resulting in culvert and bridge failures, as well as slope failures including landslides, rockfalls, and debris flow. Hart Crowser conducted a geotechnical evaluation of four sites. Initial site reconnaissance included reviewing geologic, hazard, and soil maps that cover the site vicinities; site visits to observe and document surface and geotechnical conditions; conducting a qualitative evaluation of current site conditions and general slope stability; and reporting our findings and recommendations. We also completed additional site analyses and analysis of drill borings from complex sites. Hart Crowser provided geotechnical engineering recommendations for the permanent repairs and maintenance recommendations for the sites and worked with the County to provide all needed FEMA documentation for their emergency declaration.
