Hart Crowser is responsible for preparing, reviewing, and revising chapters and technical sections of several watershed National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) EISs within Puget Sound including salmon and steelhead, other fish, wildlife, water quantity, socioeconomics, environmental justice, executive summary, and cumulative effects. The effort is to evaluate Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife’s (WDFW) and Puget Sound Treaty Tribes’ (17 tribes) hatchery compliance with Section 4(d) of the Endangered Species Act, as well as other applicable regulations, such as Executive Orders and tribal treaty rights. Project responsibilities include providing support for EIS compilation and administrative record, and reviewing subcontractor work effort.
