Global Information Exchange Building

Hart Crowser conducted geotechnical, hydrogeologic, and environmental studies of the 36-acre Spring District development area near downtown Bellevue, to support new infrastructure and develop specific recommendations for design and construction of a variety of buildings and facilities.

One of the new buildings is the Global Innovation Exchange (GIX) Building, a 100,000-square-foot state of the art facility for global partnership between major research universities (including the University of Washington) and innovative corporations. GIX is a new model of experiential education designed to develop new leaders in innovation. In addition to the UW, partners include Microsoft and Tsinghua University.
