Madan Karkee, PhD, PE

Madan Karkee, PhD, PE, is a Geotechnical Engineer whose projects range from evaluations of major earthquakes in Japan, to database system development for seismic hazard evaluation of Kathmandu Valley in Nepal, to large-scale building developments. He specializes in earthquake engineering, soil dynamics including soil structure interaction, and deep foundations. With his substantial experience in teaching and research, including as professor at Akita Prefectural University in Japan, Madan finds natural roles in mentoring staff engineers and discussing technical disciplines with clients and colleagues.
