John Bingham, PE
John Bingham is a Senior Associate Geotechnical Engineer with 21 years of experience. This includes highway realignment, slope and seawall stabilization, streambank stabilization, foundation and pavement, tunnel, and excavation shoring projects. He has performed design and field work for projects with challenges such as liquefaction potential and contaminated soil. His projects have involved riverbank, embankment/levee, slope, and shoreline stabilization using a variety of methods.
John has performed slope stability hazard identification, analysis, and mitigation for bluffs and highway cuts. His landslide experience includes managing projects where GIS- generated Light Distance and Ranging (LiDAR) maps were created to assist landslide identification during field reconnaissance/inventory.
John is an expert in abandoned mine inventory, priority reclamation, and emergency reclamation. He has conducted and managed mine reclamation projects at remote sites in steep terrain with difficult access. John has experience with reclamation alternatives; construction plans, specifications, and cost estimates; construction monitoring; post-reclamation monitoring; and final construction reports.
