Portland, Oregon
Sediment Remediation Specialist -
Qualified candidates for our Sediment Specialist position will possess an advanced degree in Coastal Engineering, Oceanography, Toxicology, Geochemistry, Waterway Engineering or Risk Assessment with 10+ years relevant consulting experience in contaminated sediment investigations and feasibility studies, risk characterization for maintenance dredging, permitting, sediment remediation, and remedial design and cost estimating.
Responsibilities in this role will include permit support, study planning, data collection, data analysis and interpretation, report writing, and business development activities. Strong knowledge of Oregon and Federal regulations and technical guidance for sediment and dredged materials is critical.
The successful candidate will have experience with contaminant transport modeling, and/or engineering design of sediment caps. The ability to interact effectively with fisheries resource and regulatory personnel is essential.
Stormwater Engineer -
We have an immediate opportunity for an Environmental Engineer with exceptional Stormwater Engineering experience to identify, design and implement solutions to meet remediation and water quality requirements.
The successful candidate will be an Environmental, Civil or Hydraulic Engineer (MS preferred), and an Oregon PE, with 10+ years of experience in the design and analysis of, as well as familiarity with, the regulatory nuances and permitting relating to environmental engineering for stormwater management systems.
This role requires working knowledge of: best management practices for stormwater (source control measures and operational practices), UJC regulations, the City of Portland Stormwater Management Manual, and industrial stormwater discharge regulations under NPDES, including recent changes to Oregon DEQ’s NPDES general stormwater permits.
We are seeking an individual that has prepared SWPCP, SWPPP, and SPCC plans; prepared design drawings and specifications for stormwater compliance; has experience evaluating best management practices and implementing engineering measures under the Clean Water Act, as well as experience with management of stormwater during construction at contaminated sites. Engineering experience with groundwater remediation is also desirable.
Remediation Engineer -
The successful candidate for our Remediation Engineer position will possess an advanced degree in Environmental Engineering, or Civil or Chemical Engineering with Environmental emphasis, and be licensed as an Oregon or Washington P.E. We are seeking an individual with 10+ years consulting experience in the assessment of soil, groundwater and surface water quality, with extensive knowledge of risk-based clean-up criteria and design of remediation systems (both physical and chemical), as well as aquatic and upland ecological impact studies to develop remediation strategies.
Edmonds, Washington
Fisheries Biologist -
While the geographic range of projects led by our senior Fisheries Biologist will extend from Oregon to Alaska, this position is located in our Edmonds office.
Responsibilities of this role require a M.S. or Ph.D. in Fisheries Biology and 10+ years of Pacific Northwest consulting experience. Thorough knowledge of the Endangered Species Act, NEPA, Marine Mammal Protection Act, and Pacific and Washington State species, issues and regulations is critical.
Experience should include a mix of the following: marine, estuarine and freshwater ecology of salmonids and forage fish; fish habitat assessment and mitigation; project permitting; marine or freshwater aquaculture; NEPA/SEPA studies; and evaluation of project impacts on natural resources. Experience in coastal and freshwater habitat restoration, the Model Toxics Control Act, GIS applications, database management, and forested ecosystems are also highly desirable.
Responsibilities of each of these senior level roles require strong technical skills with proven success in business development. Strong communications, technical writing and interpersonal skills are critical. All individuals must be equally comfortable with delivering client presentations, project management, and mentoring of junior staff. As a condition of employment, individuals must be able to provide documentation of eligibility to work in the U.S.
